Help with a simple problem (2000 GMC Sierra)
I have a very simple problem that I have not found a solution for and I know someone else has the same problem. My console box will no longer open. The one that is on the front seat. It has the push button that releases the lid.
Well, I push the button and the lid remains locked down. I could probably pry it open and snap whatever is still holding it together but I do not want to do this. Is there something I could try to do to get it open? I have tried sliding a knife back and forth in the front of it to attempt to release whatever is still holding it together. Is there anyway I can get this box open without breaking it?
Thanks
Rich

Tried that, it was a no go. What did work was tilting it up vertical and sliding in the nozzle of a PB blaster can and saturated the sh*t out of the latch. Couple of pushes and it popped right open.
