Turn My Lights Off Now........Please

Hi everyone. I'm new here, and thought maybe I could get some help from some of you knowledable guys here.
I have a 2000 Silverado and am having trouble getting my headlights to go off on the auto setting. Even in sunlight they stay on. They just started dioing this recently. They used to stay off until I pulled into the garage. Any time the key is on now, the lights stay on. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong? I even dissconnected the battery and reconnected it hoping it would re-set itself.

the light sensor in the dash may be out... its right by the defrost vent it looks like a light

I found the problem. At least I think I did. I had a gps plugged into the fog light block so it would come on with the ignition. I ran the wire to the rear defroster instead and now my lights are working again.
