I can understand both sides. I sell a lot of motorcycles on eBay and Craigslist and try to make it perfectly clear to everyone that calls that the bikes are for sale on a first come first serve basis and if they are truly interested send me a deposit via paypal and if the bike isn't exactly as described then I will refund their money on the spot. Now if someone calls me and says they are leaving to come see one that day then I wouldn't make them waist a trip and will hold it until they get there. You have to understand how many phone calls they get especially on a good deal and how many of those calls say they are coming and never show. Put yourself in their shoes if you were trying to sell something and had a person in front of you with cash and a phone call promise to come look at it and "possibly" buy it if they like the way it looks, drives, etc. what are you going to do? I have been on both sides and completely understand but a bird in the hand...
