Question 4 wheel drive isn't working on 02' Silverado

So I put my truck in 4 low, make a tight turn on pavement, no hop.... I know something is wrong with it just not sure what. When we lifted it off the ground all 4 turn but like i said, something is wrong. its just not getting the power up front like it should have. Anyone know anything about this?

You may not have a locking diff in the front. You may only have limited slip. What you need to do to figure out if you have power to the front wheels, well you can go to a dirt area that is open to you (not illegal, you may be spending some time there) and take your truck there put it into 4x4 low and do some tight turns, if you don't get some tail tell signs of you having power up there then it is time to do the doughnut in the gravel. When you are out there on the dirt or even better gravel road, put it into 2x4 and spin the rear only, then lock it into 4x4 high and do the same thing. (straight line drag burnout!) Now make sure that you back up two revolutions of the tires when locking and unlocking your 4x4. This should ensure that you are in 4x4.

If you have anymore questions please ask! If you don't think it is important somebody else may read it and use the knowledge!
