Chaning axle oil and tranny oil

RE: Chaning axle oil and tranny oil
Id figure around $130 cause out here in Hawaii I got a buddy who gets his changed by a local shop for $140 which imo seems not too bad if they clean the pan and actually replace the filter. Also I dont wanna feel like a suggestive nub but I got a 168k on my tranny luckily and I say go for 1 quart of the lucas stop slip just for a little insurance and your tranny will stay shifting smooth.

It's a fully synthetic product (various fluids such as engine oil, transmission fluid, gear oil, coolant additives) that is supposed to be "race" oriented. Elegedly it's supposed to have the least amount of friction compared to any other oil and also supposed to lubricate the best in order to maximize engine and drivetrain operation and get the most power to the wheels. Atleast that's their sales pitch. All I know is I put it in the rear end and transmission of a Nissan 240SX I had and it made the transmission shift WAY smoother and it also stopped crunching into gear when I was shifting fast(racing). I never had any problems out of it but I didn't have it very long so I don't know if it has had any problems since. But I'd hate to put that in my truck in the hopes of getting a few more ponies to the wheels and find out 4 months later that my tranny has crapped out due toinefficient lubrication.

i dunno josh...if snake oils like that were so wonderful, car makers would put em in...*** you state,if its great in 1 area,it probably has a bad side effect somewhere.
its not a price issue with gm,cuz they use gl5 oil in the rear end....about 25 bucks a quart!
