Electric shift 4 Wheel Drive
I'm looking to put a Gen III LM7 with a 4L60E into a Jeep. If I found a later model to source the powertrain, it would have the electronic shift 4WD. The electronic shift would control the front hubs. My Jeep will have a Dana 44 with lock out hubs. Question: can the electric shift be re-programmed to only shift the transfer case so I can use it with my Dana 44? Can anyone think of other problems that would STOP me from doing this if the computer can be re-programmed.
My alternative is a NP241C with the VSS to run the electronic speedo. Question: would this be the easiest to use? Should I just forget the electric shift transfer case? Thanks.
