Default I can't get the clunking to go away!!!

My intermediate shaft will not stop clunking. I've greased it 2x in the past month and nothing changes. I've shoved a ton of synthetic wheel bearing grease in the bottom of the shaft and worked it in and out hoping that the grease would make the clunking stop. Well...it hasn't. What do I do to make this stop??? Suggestions???

there is no recall on them..
gm does have a new shaft that is greaseless and cures the problem.

However,,,don't be fooled...some people are assuming its the shaft when ANYTHING clunks...but there are many other clunkable componets

I have been looking for anything other than the shaft that could be clunking, but I haven't found anything. Also, this clunk has been getting worse as time goes on. It only happens at slower speeds going around corners. The moment I turn the steering wheel to the left or right and go over a bump, the clunking occurs. It went away for maybe a day after I greased it the first time, but then it came back. I'd bet my truck that it is the shaft.

I'm thinking the wheelbearing grease is too thick to get up along the shaft, what other grease should I get?

I stopped by the Chevy dealership yesterday to look into getting a revised shaft and the Service Manager said that Chevy just came out with their 10th revised shaft (part # ends in J). He suggested to try greasing it up againbecause he doesn't have faith that this new revision will work. Now that's confidence in the engineers at Chevy.
