Cool New Engine Needs Old School Gauges - Help!

OK, I am new to the forum but have a Custom 1995 Silverado with a new GM Crate Engine with an additional 90 HP. The engine is designed for old school configureations. I have a Edelebrock 600 CFM Carb, V Belts, some chrome, new radiator, new tranny, 35" tires, 8" suspension lift, modified rear end. The problem I am faced with is the temp gauge, tac, battery gauge does not work. I was told they don't work because the computer was changed and electrical changed.

1) Are the existing gauges really not going to work with the configuration described?

2) Do you have recommendations for economical but effective gauges to buy if needed?

Thanks!

I would think you could get the factory stuff to work. For the temp gauge just screw in the sensor in the intake and plug the original harness to it. Oil pressure - same thing. If your running an older v-belt alternator than you might have to do some wiring there, but it should be able to be done. This is if you are still running the computer for everything except the fuel injection.

Oil pressure should come off the back of the block just to the drivers side of the distributor or down by the oil filter.
