After learning it's too expensive to add XM to my stock HU (see post https://www.truckforums.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=13516), I'm shopping for a new XM-ready HU.

My question is, since the stock units seem to be double-din, is there anything to fill up the space I assume will be there if I install a single-din HU? Something like a cuby hole or a plate?

And is there any way to keep the red flashing security LED?

Also learned that Crutchfield will ship a freebie fascia as well, but it didn't get that good of reviews.

Not sure how to keep the security flasher, though.

 

Best Buy is where I picked mine up... they have all kinds of vehicle specific kits that seem to work pretty well
