Only One Headlight is Out
My driver's side low beam in my 1994 Chevy Suburban 1500 4wd is out, and it's not the bulb. The other low beam is fine and both high beams are fine. For over a year my light panel switch on the instrument panel seemed to be going bad. I'd see a delay in the lights coming on--maybe .5 seconds. My driver's side low beam just went out 2 weeks ago. But here's my question. Can this problem be caused by a bad panel switch, or must the switch be good if my passenger side low beam works fine. It doesn't seem like the switch could be the problem, but at least one website I read seems to say that a bad switch could fault just one headlight on one side..
I'd really appreciate your thoughts. Thank you.

There are a few possible explanations for what you're experiencing with your Chevy Suburban's headlights. It's definitely possible that a faulty light switch could be to blame – if the switch is only intermittently making good contact, it could explain why one of your low beams sometimes goes out. Alternatively, there could be a problem with the headlight wiring on the driver's side, or with the headlight bulb socket. I recommend to visit https://lightninglab.org/ might be able to help you out as well.

It's possible that the problem could be with the light panel switch, but it's also possible that there is a problem with the wiring to the driver's side headlight. I would recommend having a mechanic take a look to diagnose and repair the problem.

Sorry I meant to reply earlier. The problem was far simpler than I'd thought. Pack Rat. I found the bitten wires and soldered new lengths in four locations. It was very tedious with hardly any room to work. Nasty buggers.
