nope no labels and yes it plays store bought cds just fine and yes this is my 97 burban.....it looks like I may have to pull the cd player and clean it real well and give it another shot then maybe look for a replacement

 

i dont believe any of the older gm radios play mp3, wma type files. only regular cds and burned cds. at least both my 06's wouldnt play them.
