traction control

ok does any one know of any way to take the traction control off amy truck (06 silverado crew cab) im not sure if there is but if there is i want to take it off. thanks guys

There is no way that I know of without tearing apart the rear end. Why would you not want the traction control? To do better burnouts?

I think your just having the usual blues with your Torque Management. It's something built into the programming of the truck so that when you floor it the accelerator gradually works into wide open throttle as opposed to just hammering it. It's actually recommended by GM not to remove more than 65% I think it is. Otherwise you could damage your drivetrain. Our trannies are pretty weak. You have 2 options. Get a tuner that will remove the torque management in levels of severity such as a Diablo Predator programmer, or get a custom tune from someone such as Charlie Wheatley at www.gowheatley.com and have them remove however much of it you want removed. Either way your gonna be spending atleast $300.
