i think the newer trucks are just set so that it wont happen cause i kno i have done it by accident too, but i also know that when you get a new tranny, if you get a warrenty on it and you give it back to them and they ask if you beat on it, dropping it into neutral is considered beating on it, i would just suggest not doing it cause i used to, but i dont do it anymore

well i did the same thing driving thru memphis when i decided to rev it up in neutraland i accidentally got it into reverse. my tires locked up but it didnt shut off. my truck wasnt happy for the next few days, but its been about a month and its still working like it should....i think.

yeah I know I felt stupid when i did it. Yeah but my dad looked at it, everything is normal, u-joints arent bent, but he didnt check the transfer case......
