Default Rear view temp/compass

I bet this will be an easy one for someone to answer. I have a 2000 Yukon. First off I don't have a owners manual, so I have no idea what "CAL" means on my mirror. And the direction is not correct. I assume "CAL" means calibration, but I could be wrong. Then I tried holding the "comp" button down for a few seconds, then the letter "Z" appears and a random number. I then found the number will count up every time I press the "comp" button again up till "15"....[&:]

Thank you

TJ

Default RE: Rear view temp/compass

if you live in milwaukee your setting is 8. cal means to calibrate - all the numbers 1-15 are the region outlines to where your compass works properly. get to the #8 press and hold the compass button for a few second, it should set. if not you will have to drive your vehicle in a complete circle 3times to recalibrate it
