used to drive truck,got sick of the traffic here in so.cal, so I got back into machining. Was machining this new material into different sized plates they use for military body armor. Stops 50 cal. armor piercing bullets. should be back in the shop in a few weeks I've been told. They layed us all off for 5 months w/ no heads up!

 

It seems like it's getting harder everyday to find a job with more and more people being layed off. The more people that are more qualified than us puts us lower in the competition. I did have a dream the other night that I became the new CEO of NBC because the former CEO thought I was a good guy. HA like that would happen! I bet I dreamed that because I've been home more watching the news.

 

In the present scenario of a major global economic recession a lot of people are unemployed or broke. I fall in the second category buddy.

just got out the army in november been looking for jobs every day aint many people hireing.
well i was a deisel mechanic in the army for 4 years workin on heavy track vehicals and no one will hire me so im still looking but in the mean time it gives me more time to spend with my wife and kid and family and to go sport shootin and mudding. so yeah im unemployed it sucks cuz i aint got much income you think that people would hire a vet with 4 years deisel mechanic experiance but hey i guess im over qualified for some places ive applied at
