quite a FEW STEERING CLUNK THREADS HERE...let me know if ya can't find it

 

Which yoke are you greasing to eliminate the clunk? My 99 has the same issue at a stop. I changed the rear diff. fluid and the noise is still there. I am going to change transfer case fluid next but want to grease the yoke as well.

 

I had a power stroke with a manual tranny, and it made all kinds of clunks. I'm sure it was the drive shaft bounceing as it mostly happened when I got on or off the clutch, which was only at complete stops or very close to one. I did notice a similar clunk in my driveline in my Z71, but much quiter, and less frequent. I did not think this was a problem, just the nature of a truck.

Is this noise a problem? Should I worry? I mean I pretty much forgot about it until I read this post.
