Default Coil pick up

1990 Silverado 350, how do you replace the coil pick up on the distributor, i have alrady replaced the control module and i thought this coil pick up was part of the distributor. Come to find out it is replaceable, i can not figure out how it comes off.

If I remember right you have to pull the distributor....and drive the drift pin out of the cam gear on the bottom of the distributor and remove the shaft to replace it.

You are correct, the distributor has to come out and the shaft removed from distributor housing to replace this part. Thanks.
