Default intermitant starting problem

After warm up, at times, my 1998 Silverado, 5.7, ½ ton, 2 wheel drive, will turn over and briefly start then die. It continues to do that unless you let it sit for about an hour then it starts and runs. The fuel pump is working. When you turn off the key it does its usual run till pressure builds then shuts off. It has not shut off after it does start, only after you shut it down and try to restart. It seems to me that it is losing ignition rather than fuel. Could my issue be with the security system? Thanks for any help you can give!
