Default Why didn't GM do this to begin with??

I've owned a few GM trucks over the past few years and have loved every one of the little boogars. I personally think that GM makes one of the nicest trucks out there...even though Ford has nudged my curiosity...GM has continued to win out. Everyone that I have owned has had the same problem. In the old body style truck...99.5 to 2007, the rear wheels looked like tiny little 17' doughnuts compared to the wide wheel opening. The result was to either..A) Get 20" rims and tires B) undercoat the wheel well making it black so therefore the lighter color of the inner wheel well would not accentuate the size of the tire. I have done one of the above to the last three GMC's that I have owned. I just bought a 2007 GMC Sierra SLT Crew and I was actually given the name of a company that supplies GM authorized accessories. I was searching through the list of "Stuff" that i could get for the truck and besides the bazillion things I bought, there was one that would have solved my visual woes on the past three trucks. They sell inner fender liners for the rear of these trucks!!!!! WHAT???? Yep...they slip right in without having to take the wheels off.....(although there is one screw that you cannot install with them on), three fasteners install on top, two self tapping screws install on the insides, and presto...all the body components and body color panels are no longer visible. This is a huge mod in cleaning up the rear wheel overall look. It's like a bedliner material. Just thought I'd share this with y'all. The wheel well area has been a major flaw in the appearance of the Chevy/GMC truck rear tire area and this is pretty much "The Cure"! The part sells for around $70.

This black wheel house liner protects the rear wheel house of your truck from damage caused by rocks, dirt, salt, road debris and weather elements. They also enhance your trucks appearance by providing a more finish look.

I've had three GMs prior to this one and it was the first I had heard of it. I'm glad I stumbled upon them. Super easy to install as well.
