2005 chevy 1500 tranny shot!!
Hello, I have a2005 chevy silverado 1500. At approx.80K I noticed a jerking in the vehicle while it was under light load. Took it to a trustworthy local shop. Ten minute test drive and he told me the tranny was done and wanted 4000$ to replace it. Thought I should get a second opion. Brought truck to a chevy dealer.144$ later they said that the truck was ship shape. No problems. Great I thought. Not two months later the tranny failed! Standing myself and 3 others! Wtf?! Had truck brought to dealer on flatbed. 3250$ later new again. I'm wondering what its wrong with these dealer mechanics and GM in general. I told them the problem, they brushed me off as a dumb customer. And now gm wont help me with any costs! If you hire fools and build crap, at least stand by your products. Any body else have this kind of problems? This its the first and last GM I will ever own, why did we bail out this company!
Do you have any receipts or anything showing that you paid for the diagnostics? We have GM reps who cruise the sites regularly and I will gladly put one of them in contact with you to possibly help your situation.
