the tail pipe rusted off about 2 years ago also. Well the muffler connection rusted off, both ends. The pipes going into and out of the muffler are fine. SO, I'm in the market for a new muffler. One that can stand up to a New England winter (wide temp changes, lots of sand/salt, almost always wet). I had a flowmaster (don't know what model). And I want that deep sound. I saw the flowmaster super 40 is available at the autozone near me. Any input would be helpful. I'll update this with the inlet pipe size once I get a chance to measure it.

 

try what i have on mine its stainless steel flowmaster 10 series and ive had one thats survived 7 years and its not even rusted

 

Good idea... Pay the little extra for the stainless steel
